The newly founded Greensport1820 Foundation allows us to provide bigger and better events for the public, and to grow the education and passion of agriculture and agritourism.
From a grown-up spin on an Easter tradition, to hands-on history and one of our biggest annual celebrations, April and May are packed with reasons to come visit us.

🐣 April 4 – Adult Easter Egg Hunt
Hunt Like a Kid… Win Like an Adult
We’re kicking things off with a brand-new event that’s already creating a buzz—our 1st Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt!
This 21+ event brings back the fun of childhood… but with prizes you’ll definitely appreciate a lot more now.
🎉 What to expect:
- Eggs filled with prizes from local businesses
- A chance to win the $250 Grand Prize Cash Egg 💰
- Live music by Ryan Lang 🎶
- Food trucks, drinks, and games

🐎 May 1 – 2nd Annual Pioneer Day
Celebrating Alabama’s Farming Heritage
Take a step back in time at our 2nd Annual Pioneer Day, a unique event focused on education, agriculture, and hands-on experiences.
This special day is designed as a field trip for local students (2nd–5th grade), but the impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
🌾 Highlights include:
- Engaging presentations from Auburn University’s Raptor Center and Pete the Patriot
- Hands-on demonstrations with livestock and agricultural practices
- Special guest speaker Rick Karle
This event honors Alabama’s past while inspiring the next generation about the future of agriculture.

🦞🐴 May 2 – Mule Day & 6th Annual Crawfish Boil
A Full Day of Tradition, Food, and Fun
We’re wrapping up our spring lineup with one of the most anticipated weekends of the year!
Our 2nd Annual Mule Day teams up with the 6th Annual Crawfish Boil for a full day of entertainment, tradition, and incredible food.
🔥 What’s happening:
- 🐴 Wagon train & working team demonstrations
- 💪 Mule and horse pull competition
- 🎶 Live music throughout the day
- 🦞 Fresh, delicious crawfish boil (pre-order)
- 🛍️ Equipment sale by owner for wagons, harnesses, and other working team and farming equipment

April is shaping up to be one of the most exciting times to visit Greensport—and not just for the views. All month long, guests are invited to participate in the Greensport Guest Content Contest, where simply sharing your favorite memories could earn you a great prize.
From April 1–30, visitors can submit photos, videos, or even fun social media reels showcasing their time at the park. Whether it’s a cozy campfire, lakeside sunrise, family adventure, or a trending TikTok moment, every memory counts—as long as it’s original and family-friendly.
The best part? You could win a free weekend stay (2 nights) or free entry for a family of four to one of Greensport’s signature events, including Rodeo & Rhythm, the 4th of July Celebration, or Lil’ Tomatina.
